No screamin? I am disappoint.

I'd have bet you were a real screamer! :p

Back on topic...why does it seem like the majority of "open-mouth chewers" are "imports?"

It's fucking disgusting...STOP!

the worst of the worst is the open mouth chewers who have partials or dentures and you hear the clickety click noise of their false teeth as they chomp away. o_O

You know what's worse than people who chew with their mouth open while minding their own business? The people who stick their nose into everyone else's business and try dictating how everyone else should live based on their own personal beliefs. Don't like it? Stop staring at their mouth and quit being a freaking busy body.

(I agree with you, but I ignore it)

I've heard that's bad with Asians, but I don't have personal experience.

open-mouth chewers are probably mouth-breathers as well.

Yep. A kid I grew up with was. He had blocked sinus passages along with significant difficulty breathing through his nose (not enough airflow to sustain life). He finally saved up enough money to have it fixed in his 20's.

I'm sure he gives two shits about your opinion of his chewing with his mouth open or breathing through his mouth.

Agreed, so disgusting! Good table manners are such an easy, yet important thing; poor table manners drives me mental!

Believe it or not the best way to taste all the flavors of your food is to eat with your mouth open and take in some air and smack your chops as well. Sure it's poor manners, but it really is the best way to enjoy your food.

Yes.

But there is a fine line between respectfully opening the mouth a little bit to draw in some air (never once opening the mouth while chewing is actually fairly difficult with some food items). But looking like you are imitating the bovine style of masticating... the amount of noise that makes can be dreadful to listen to for awhile.

There is this one Chinese place by me that when I go in there to grab something to eat on some nights the people working there are eating dinner. All of them chew with their mouths open, lips smacking, talking super loud and slurping their soup. So nasty. By the time my food is ready I'm not that hungry anymore.

I've got one of these in my office, and he's also a tooth sucker. After lunch he'll be sucking on his teeth for a couple of hours, making all kinds of nauseating sounds :(.

I used to work with a guy I nicknamed "Chomper". Could hear him eating his lunch through my headphones, you can't ignore that. Had to leave the office every time he had lunch. He would also blow really hard when frustrated (picture trying to blow out 100 candles in one breath) and bang his fist on his desk hard, in an otherwise silent office, so I guess being obnoxious was his nature. Seriously one of the best parts about moving to a different job was never having to see Chomper again.

So annoying. Sat in front of a guy like this in math today.

He had a burger and small bag of chips. All of it was chewed open mouthed. And he slurped his water. It was nasty. Then after he had been eating for half hour, he was sucking on his teeth for the rest of the class. So irritating.

I won't be sitting in that spot again
