my mom, whenever she'd get mad at us, usually would get confused at which kid she was yelling at, so she'd usually wind up going through all our names before getting to the right one.

"cin- uh dav -evely- no james!" it was a riot.

My dad did that, except he'd confuse my name with my mom's, heh. It would annoy the hell out of me.

And now, of course, I do it too.

lol, same here. "Er -- Tam -- Er -- Jess -- JOHN!"

I think everyone should be made to wear a name tag at all times!

My name is Joe, and yet everyone always forgets it or calls me something different. I mean come on, if you get the "J" you're half way there. Most people in my family call me Jim, which I don't really mind because it's my uncle's name. My friends just call me nicknames, the last few years it's been Jo Jo Binks or just jo jo. And don't get me started on my last name no one can spell it right. Sure it's unique but it's only five letters and its a friggen palindrome to boot.

if it bothers you that much, maybe youre just being to anal about it? you have two choices: correct him, or deal with it. my name is johnny and people call me john, joe, josh, etc. doesnt bother me since the people i care about know my name.

im sure if you just clarified it for him, hed call you by your proper name.
