I actually think I had a hardcore racing friend that had a GM speedo. It was sweet. Now... I dunno about buying them from that particular site... but if you do a little bit o' research, I think you'll find they are the best ones coming out of Europe. Sure, Tekin and Novak are the standard, but if I'm remembering right... my friend said his GM or whwatever it was, was sweet.

john, have u had experiences with this company's esc's to make that decision? I know that tekin/novak are good manufacturers but they are really expensive.

oh yea, i talked to the guy who was running the site and he sounds legit. he lives in virginia and took the time to explain alot about his esc's.

i was thinking about the

Pro Reverse
HE2237
impulse current >600A
constant current >40A
2/4khz
current limiter
no motor limit
for $65

i current rates seem pretty average for a esc. any thoughts?

I've been out of the R/C loop for a while; last car I had was an RC10 World's Car. :) I do believe that GM makes some pretty competative electronics. I remember flipping through the pages of Car Action and seeing some top factory drivers using GM batteries and ESCs. I think the reasons you don't hear about them as much as Novak and Tekin are because they haven't been around as long and because they're a European company. LRP makes some kick ass ESCs as well. I remember when all the top Associated guys switched from Novak to LRP.

Back in the days of the RC-10 and Clodbuster, my brother and I used Novaks. It was also our introduction to the world of thermodynamics and integrated circuits. IE: DON'T TOUCH THE DAMN HEATSINK AFTER AN EXTENDED RACING SESSION!!!! :)

I used to race R/C competitively till about 4 years ago. Yes I have heard of GM products, and they do make some nice ESC's. I personaly have never used them, I have been a longtime Novak person, however I had always heard good things about the V12.
