Damn... the grainy effect is actually kind of bad. I thought people were over-exaggerating it in the reviews, but man...

How long did it take you to get use to it?

I bought one accidentally, it lasted however long it took amazon to ship me a different one. It was like looking through a bathroom window.

I'll take the anti-glare/reflection feature over the grainness

if you set the brightness at the right level, you won't notice the grainness... or stop holding your phone so close to your eyes

For my phone (that I looked at a lot every day) I couldn't stand it either, and I knew this for a while so I never even got one for this phone. But for my tablet I had one on and it was really nice to watch something without staring at myself.

The issue is after talking on the phone and the oil of your face touches the screen, the visuals look HORRENDOUS.

I used it once on my Windows Phone because I hated how glossy protectors would get scratched up. Thank goodness glass protectors are now a thing.

I can't even stand matte/anti-glare coating on my monitors. So I go with glossy and just tolerate the glare. I think the cure is worse than the disease.

Sorry to dig up this thread...

Are glass protectors anti-glare? I need to get some sort of anti-glare for my LG G3 so I'm trying to figure out what to get...

Pretty much unusable on any high-DPI displays. I've gone to crystal-type clear screens and just have dealt with the fingerprints.

If you want the matte texture/anti-glare, the only option nowadays is to get a mild %age matte. Companies like Photodon make 10%, 25%, 50%, etc. amounts of matte texture...I put the 25% on my Surface Pro and it looked great.
