what GPA did you have to get in?

my friends had a 4.0-4.2... with mediocre SAT scores... some had 3.6 and higher but i didn't know them that much... so i don't know how they scored either.

I guess I won't bother applying to UCLA, I have 3.3 GPA and 1200 SAT score.

Will Riverside accept me?

haha true...

i think it depends on what program you're trying to get into... some are harder than others...

i had a 3.9 and 1200 SATs, got into the ICS program... however, i'm sure they're a bit more lax now that they're accepting more and more students...

p.s. i'm continuing there as a grad student next year (back in the ICS program)

back in '98 when I applied, I had a 3.5/1240 SAT and I got rejected from ICS =\ got denied when I applied for grad school there too

this year my family friend w/ 4.0+ weighted GPA, 1230 SAT got denied from UCI.

UCs are getting tougher...

Actually its the SAT2's that are way more important than the SAT1's now (3 times more important I heard...) so maybe this can be a little misleading since everyone is only posting SAT1 scores...

Well, for my SAT II scores, I got a 740 in US History, and a low 600s for Writing and Math or whatever was the required SAT IIs.

back when I applied, you could take them as late as December, but you needed to rush your scores.

Go to the Georgia Institute of Technology. It is an extremely good school with lots of bang for the buck. Best education for the price if you ask me.

yeah i've heard that's a really good school too... hopefully tuition won't kill you (dunno how much tuition is there...)??
