What do you think?

Note the poll has NOTHING to do with "friends" that still go to the school, or anything like that. Has to do more with direct visits and involvement with the college.

Meh....you need to cheer for some college football team....might as well be the one at the school you went to

Also, networking for business, I guess...

Well hopefully the Buffaloes under the helm of Dan Hawkins become a good football team. Other than that, it all depends, if I live in Mass for work I'm not going to go to Colorado unless there is a compelling reason.

Are you talking about giving donations to your college? If so, consider this....the school needs money, time and effort to run. most of the people who give this are people who want their degree to be worth more. They devote time and money to make the college look better because it makes them look better on paper.

I plan on be pretty active in sporting events like football and basketball if I'm still living within a few hours. Not sure about the other stuff yet.

Also, I plan on donating some money for a white only scholarship.

Whats wrong with visiting a college you attended?

When I was growing up my parents regularly went back to their university (Penn State) to go to football games and tailgate. Its a way of staying in touch with people they went to school with, and it was a great time. So great that I ended up going to Penn State, and I plan on visiting as often as I can.

Just because your school was lame or you didnt do anything while you were there to develop an attachment doesnt mean everyone else is "stuck" on college.

My only involvement with either University I have graduated from has been discussions of all the fun times I had there. Old alumni are kind of pathetic. I wear a ball cap with the logo of my undergrad, that is about as far as I go unless it is winter and I wear the sweatshirt.

I thought you were talking about the kinds of people who graduate then still go out and get wasted every weekend and try to relive their college glory days into their 30s.

they're not as bad as the loser rejects who are stuck on high school.

as for me, i still live in the town, and i sport the alumni license plate frame as way of differentiating myself from the kids who still attend school, but that's it. other than my gf and a few neighbors, i don't speak to anyone from my school, nor would i want to. it was a place to meet an end. i am no social butterfly, nor did i ever view my school as part of my identity.

That's what I love about these high school girls, man. I get older, they stay the same age.

Our college is basically run by rich alumni. Students don't have a say in hardly anything. :(

Why does it bother you? I don't think there's some kind of standard for what one "should" do on this issue.

I graduated last December. I might attend the same college for graduate school. I was never really involved with my school other than for academics, so I doubt I will be involved or "stuck" on my school in the future. I may make charitable donations to my school as an alumni, but that wont happen anytime soon...not until I start making bigger bucks.
