do you experience this?
I'm in my mid 20s and people still think I'm a student in high school/college. I don't think that's a good thing.

Same here. Mid 20's, done with my under-grad, work full time, own a house. Every time someone comes to my door (politician, contractor selling windows, siding, etc) they ask me if the home owners are home and when I tell them I'm the home owner they are always shocked. I don't think it's a bad thing at all...

all of my conversations with new acquaintances began starting with 'are you married' and 'do you have kids' once i hit about 20, so no, i cannot relate.

i'm going to look like shit when i'm 40.

i turn 31 this month.

I've been carded for booze several times over the past year.

I think it's kind of funny, actually.

I was always one of the guys who looked 4-5 years older, it was cool in high school and even in college but I'm worried it's going to catch up with me as I age. :(

Mine is worse I was carded buying Resident Evil 5 at gamestop. I am 27 years old. I don't think I look that young and but I do pretty much get carded at bars and buying alcohol.

I don't think I've had anyone mistake me for a high school or college kid though (other than being carded).

i didn't look like a student when i was a student
i look older than i am
this is probably partially due to my beard
which has now gotten several white/grey patches

That reminds me, actually i DID get carded buying a game at Best Buy a couple years ago. I think it was Age of Conan. Man, what a day I wish I didn't have my ID on me. Could have saved me 49 bucks on that piece of shit.

I'm just turned 24 and yes, people do often mistake me for a college student. Though to be honest, two years out of college doesn't allow that much aging.

I used to always be told I looked younger than I was but not for the past few years.

Guess getting fat makes you look older :(

If I see a twenty something person with long hair and a beard I assume student/no job.

it's fantastic. i still use my college ID to get discounts and i've been out for a while. most people think i'm in my early 20's. i don't really mind.

yo,

if you dress like youre still in college
and act like youre still in college
people will think you're still in college.

My grandparents think that people in their late 20s/early 30s with a full time job are "college kids"

I'm sorry...but what exactly are you supposd to dress like when you're 26 and out of college? Am I supposed to wear Dockers with plaid button-downs and sweater-vests everywhere I go so that people don't think I'm a college student? And what do you mean when you say "act like you're still in college"? I work 40 hours a week, take care of my house, pay bills and taxes, and spend my little amount of free time with friends....I'm pretty sure that's acting similarly to my 30+ yr old peers.

I don't like your logic.
