People still play UT2k4?

I sold it soon after it came out but now that I think about it, it's the only online game I really liked. CSS is pretty boring. Do people still play? Thinking of getting the DVD again.

I never got around to playing UT2K4 much, but I'm sure there's still a large base of players.

*waits for Schadenfroh and Lonyo to post about Red Orchestra* :)

I really should have sold my copy but didnt. I honestly never spend any time online gaming on the PC... there are just too many people that are 100x better than I am.

Yeah, now that my connection's better, I havn't bothered playing UT2k4. Only online game I've played is CS:S.

modeps:

You could try a co-op mod, like Alien Swarm.

I downloaded RO but there was only about 5 servers with people playing, and out of those some were full and passworded. I thought RO was suppose to be the sh*t??

It is, just not many people can handle it.
Lots eat at McDonalds, that doesn't mean it's good.
Popularity != goodness.
It's a small community, and I've not met Schadenfroh yet I don't think :(

I was playong ONS thought just before I posted.
It was OK, except for the ping :(
There are players around, I'm UK so it may be harder for me to get a decent ping compared to the US guys.

Red Orchestra... it's a WWII mod for UT2004. and OP there are quite a few people that still play and there are many mods and servers out there. Half of my dept gets together for some occasional matches on a game server I set up if you wanna find some folks online sometime :)

Wish I could buy DoD:Source but I think I screwed up getting the ghetto package from Steam with just HL2 and CS:S.

I played quite a bit after they released the Editors Choice Edition, but I haven't played a single match since I started playing WoW. I still have it installed though, and my WoW addiction is finally waning, so it may get some more playtime some day.

Back in the day I used to be pretty good but now I am in the same boat. The kids just kick my ass. It's like all they ever do is play and hone their skills.
