People see me offline on MSN but I see them online?

I recently added some new friends to MSN but they don't seem to be able to see me online when I'm clearly online and see them online....

does anyone know what the problem is?

I've been using Trillian for 5 years and I've never experienced anything like this.
 
What version? I set myself at invisiable mode so no one can see me on MSN but I can see them online.
I think you set yourself invisiable mode so if you want them see you online is to right click on MSN icon and scroll down and you will see "Set Status" then click on "Available"

You may need to log into MSN with MSN messenger. When they add you as a friend MSN sends a query to you asking if it is ok, unless you click yes you won't be visible to them. You won't get this question if you login with trillian. I had a couple of those which were over a year old when I logged into MSN one day with messenger. 🙂

Or maybe you set yourself as invisible.
