Stupid person keeps parking in my spot.. not a huge deal, I just have to park in the next one up (my next door neighbor's, he doesn't have a car).. but criminy, the guy can park in any of the 12 other OPEN spots. I like mine because I can see it from my window and it's right next to the gate.

I left him this note today though:

Hi,
There are plenty of open parking spots available here, but this is not one of them.

I would really appreciate it if you would not keep parking in my space.

If you persist in doing so, I will have to write you another note asking you not to park in my spot. You really don?t want me wasting all that paper do you?

Please, think of the trees.

Thank you.

It was originally going to be something like "stop parking in my f*cking spot you ass pirate! Don't make me tow your heap!" but I figured I'd try the Nice approach first. :)

its good that you decided to be nice. that way hes more likely to move, and not show any hostility towards you.

Next time, if he does it, write him a note, in huge letters - banner style - on 10 feet of paper...heh heh heh...and wrap it around his windshield wiper.

The nice approach is the way to go at first. A buddy of mine parked in the space next to mine, reserved for my neighbor. He was none too happy, and left a scathing note. After that my friend parked in the guest spots. I had a guy park in my space one night, but he was gone in the morning, so I didn't do anything.

Thats my story... wow, I really tend to talk about stuff that no one in their right mind would care about.

Let us know how it turns out for you.

Our Apartment Manager has these nice 10inchX10inch stickers with an orange background that look all official and say this:

You Are Parked Illegaly.
If your car is not moved
within 5 hrs it will be
TOWED AT YOUR EXPENSE.

I have gotten these from him like 5 times.
Some morons just dont understand the meaning of assigned parking.
Usually they are prety effective. But every other day some car is being towed from the garage.

A little clarification here. You get them from him and put on other cars....OR..... you have gotten 5 of them placed on your car and yet insist those who dont understand assigned parking are morons.

Three times, he walked with me to the parking spot and put these on the other cars and gave me another parking spot temporarily.

Now there are no empty spots that can be used temporarily so the last 2 times he just gave me the stickers to put on the other cars and told me to just park on the street.

For some reason that story reminded me of this:

Many people think that history is a dull subject. Dull? Is it "dull" that Jesse James once got bitten on the forehead by an ant, and at first it didn't seem like anything, but then the bite got worse and worse, so he went to a doctor in town, and the secretary told him to wait, so he sat down and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited, and then finally he got to see the doctor, and the doctor put some salve on it? You call that dull?
