I was wondering (i have seen it before, but forgot) how to talk to others (more of a pop up on their screen) that are on the same network - with just using xp

Any ideas?

Thanks

If they are domain members it would be easy enough to start the service on the machines and open the firewall port.
and SP1 turns it off (so does SP2).
Actually SP1 did not change the behavior at all; it wasnt until SP2 that the messenger service was disabled.
