I buy from Craigslist about once a week. Every so often, I get ripped off but my outcome has been a LOT more positive than the other way around.

Craigslist is a flake fest. Every damn time I sell on there at least 2-3 people are bound to flake out completely.

I've had a few people do that to me. I was selling an old 19" monitor for $30, and had someone want me to give it to them for free since they were a "poor student" and on top of it, they wanted me to deliver it to them. Yea right.

Another time I was selling a fish tank and stand for $150, and had someone want it for free with the student excuse.

Also, on the fish tank sale, I had some guy email me and say "I'll take it if you will take $140, and I'll pick it up tonight." I responded to him that it was his at $140, and gave him directions. The guy shows up, and then proceeds to try to lowball me down to $50 from the $140 he said he would take it at. I told him to get out of my house.

Craigslist is hit or miss. I sell old computer parts i don't want to put into storage and i always find a buyer no problem. BUt i have been trying to help my g/f sell her car. The kbb is 10,500. Some idiot actually offered only 5,000 for it. But it was cash and he could pick it up right away. HA

Free from impurities. In this case, impurities mean "human emotions."

You don't have to go to CL to find people like that. Earlier today I had a guy offering me a deal on my item in FS/FT forum. I agreed to his offer and sent him my PP addy. He PM's me few minutes later that he found it on eBay for $0.05 cheaper. That's right, a nickel cheaper. He wanted to negotiate more after that. Yeah, right
