That's awful! :|

When my inlaw was driving from TX to VA once, a trucker signaled for her to pull over (this is at like 4:30am, the road was deserted. When she refused to comply, he tried to force her off the road. She was forced onto the shoulder and then he pulled his truck over. At that point, she pealed out of there and never looked back.

Unfortunate Proof that it is worthless.
This sick nutcase is the benchmark for all worthlessness.

<< There is no rehabilitation for a person like that. >>

Sure there is. But first we need to send him to stand in front of the Great Rehabiliator -- god. :)

Hmmm, I see his post-mortem travels going in a more 'southern' direction.

Heh, they should go bring in his whole family as well for questioning. There is not a single doubt in my mind that there is something seriously wrong in his family.
Maybe he has a brother somewhere who thinks his big bro just did something really really cool.....

Could very well be. I'd bring along some sandals if I were he.

How could somebody do something like that.:| It was just random, too.

<< Anyone can be be rehabilitated with enough work and compassion >>

Compassion? What about compassion for the woman and her family. :|

They are the ones who need compassion, this guy deserves nothing but pain!

That statement is just wrong.

DaBuddha:

The assailant here, a 24-year-old man, apparently pulled alongside a 25-year-old female college student on a Texas state highway and shot her repeatedly through her car window. At least one bullet struck her head. He then ran her car off the road into a field, where he sexually assaulted her. It is not clear whether she was alive at the time; the article describes her as "motionless".

The assailant apparently has no history of felonies (though he may have committed misdemeanors or have a juvenile record; neither is mentioned). He confessed to the crimes about a week after the incident.

Pretty horrific conduct, for sure, and unless he puts up a vigorous defense of some kind of diminished capacity (as this sounds like the kind of thing that may have been prompted by cocaine- or meth-induced psychosis, or some organic psychiatric disorder), he will almost certainly get the death penalty. In this instance it is hard to argue with it, frankly.
