I swung by the EBGames near my job to go ahead and payoff my 360 preorder so I can just pick it up and go next Tuesday (vacation day so I don't feel like hanging around a gamestore all day). There was a lady in there asking about picking up a 360 and the EBGuy basically had to hold back laughter as he told her that they were going to be sold out for a long time because of their pre-order list. The lady then went into a tirade about how she couldn't believe that Microsoft was going to shortchange customers and that they shouldn't even sell it unless they can provide it to everybody that wants one....and the same thing goes with Sony too with their PS2 launch....all these console makers do it!

I guess that was the part that really was funny to me. The sense of entitlement that she had about buying a freaking game console for her kid(s). Markets be damned, if you can't provide the product to everybody on day one don't bother making it at all!

Yeah, I explained to her that Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and other stores will have them on Nov. 22nd. EBGames and Gamestop are the one of the few doing preorders so that's why they are sold out. She complained "We're going to be in Florida so I guess we'll just have to stand in line there."

The poor dear.

I don't know what she was complaining for if she already knew she was going to be in Florida. She wouldn't have been able to pick up her preordered 360 in Atlanta anyways!
