Pentium3 800mhz on a Asus P3B-F mb,is that possible?

Hi,i have a Pentium3 500mhz actually and i want to buy a 800mhz but not sure if my Asus P3B-F will support it.Please anyone can help me before i buy a CPU that my mb maybe will not support?:)
Anyone is running that combo?Thanks to you all.

Get the latest BIOS, and you should be fine, assuming you get the PIII 800E, not the EB. Preferably you should have mobo rev. 1.03.

Klesk,

Did you get the 800? Let us know how it worked out. Did you have any reasoning behind the 800MHz vs. 700 or 750 that might overclock better?

I'm running a p3 800e on the Asus P3b-f. Just make sure your motherboard revision is 1.03 or greater. The best way to check is just open up your case and on the motherboard where it says Asus P3b-f
right under you should see the revision number.

If you're planning to overclock it, just get a better heatsink the 800E should have no problem hitting 900mhz+ but if you're looking for over 1GHZ better look into some exotic cooling.
