Pentium M vs Pentium 4 M

Yes, but the architecture is different. The Pentium M is more efficient (does more work per clock cycle). The 1.6 GHz P-M is about equivalent to a 2.2-2.4 P4-M.
 
They are TOTALLY different processors, the Pentium M is much faster per clock.
