pentium m and celeron m

Originally, the Pentium M was based on the Banias architecture, which featured a 1MB L2 cache. Dothan is now the Pentium M, and Banias is now the Celeron M.
The difference between the two is L2 size (2MB vs 1MB), and other IPC improving tweaks.
I believe Dothan also features better power management.

Pentium M can downclock (SpeedStep), whereas Celeron M cannot.

That means the Pentium M will get way better battery life!

Actally the difference is very little, pehaps 15mins at most. Also the celeron -m 512 cant clock much past 1.8ghz whereas the newer 1mb version gets past 2.2 in my desktop asus with ct-479
