Could someone let me know what the main difference is between the Pentium III and Celeron's. I'm running a Pentium II 333mhz now. This board can handle a Pentium III 933mhz with a 100mhz bus. Due to the lack of money I can only spend about $75.00 right now. The Celeron 800mhz with a 100mhz bus is selling for around $60.00 right now. My question is, is it worth buying or not and is good for gaming. Thanks~

Current differences:

Celeron has half the L2 cache, and it is half as associative (meaning that it's hit-rate is even lower than it would otherwise be if it were a "regular" 128Kb L2 cache).

It has a much higher multiplier, relegating it to lower clock speeds than the P3.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think they also disabled SMP support on current celerons (it wasn't supported in older versions, but the Celeron 128's, I think, just don't even have it available).
