What do you do to change that when your computer thinks that it is a Pentium II 386 processor when it is really a Celeron 586 processor, how do you fix that so your computer will become a Celeron again?

ok is it really a celeron or a p2? Your title and your post are conflicting.
and where exactly is it saying that it's a celeron/p2?

There's 2 ways you can check for definite:

1: Download Frequency ID from La Intella's site HERE & run it.

2: Check the SL-number on the S-SPEC tables. (SL-number is found on the CPU. It's a total of 5 digits long. Example: SL123).

Pentium II SL-table can be found HERE
Celeron SL-table can be found HERE.

The quickest way would be Frequency ID though ... to make sure.

Agreed, the BIOS probably needs new microcodes.
