 Huh CPUz applies a name and corresponding picture to the processor not an individual core. Have you got a screenie?

EDIT: ahh i presume that you click on the second core then it brings up another picture and name etc?

What I did was open up two instances of cpuz to display both cores side by side...however I only had one open when i noticed that the 2 cores were named differently...my X2 shows the same name at home

Well I went to check mine to see what it says, and it's only seeing one core. Only one showing up in device manager, and in task manager as well. It saw both cores before. This stupid chip has been nothing but trouble!

Glad I have an X2 for my main rig, it's never given me any problems.

I know what you mean. It feels like im running a regular pentium 4 with HT.

Well I tried a repair install, second core not detected. Formated and did a fresh install..second core not detected. It was working before, but the second core is no longer being detected..it was working before, I am 100% sure it was showing both cores before. It's still being recognized as a pentium-D, but the second core has gone missing.
