While I know there is something faulty with the video card, I've had nothing but frustration with the temperatures of my Pentium D 820. It Idles at 63-64 C. I've tried time and time again remounting the stock cooling so many times I think I bent one of the plastic probes. I had to use Artic Silver 5 because the paste that came with mine was only a half of what it was suppose to be.
I've cleaned, reapplied the artic 5 so many times I don't know what to do anymore.
I'm running a connect3d X700 for now which i think is another problem since at random my screen will go black or I'll see read dots flying across my display.
Funny thing is I won the D945PSN and P_D 820 at the intel live event in addition to my bundle purchase. I don't want to open it because I want to sell it. (I'm allowed to do what I please with the one I won.)
I'm running 2 gigs of DDR2 533.
Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at the point where I think I need another CPU. This is in the same case my AMD64 3k Winnie was in which never reached even at full load overclocked, the idle temp of the P_D 820 I have in now.
Help??
