Pentium D and CPU-Z

This isn't really a problem... its just weird! 🙂
I've got a Pentium D 945... (or that's what I bought it as)
However, CPU-Z shows it as a Pentium D 950...
not only this, but it also shows the core speed swapping between 2400 MHz and 3400MHz (the latter when opening a program). It also shows the multiplier changing from the x12 to the x17 (along with the core speed)...
Is this stuff normal? I just thought I'd ask because it seems really weird...

Thanks for any insight.
[CPU-Z is version 1.35, released June '06]

Strange that it's showing as a 950 instead of 945, however the multiplier changing is just speedstep. Lowers the CPU speed when it's idle to save power. Perhaps CPUz 1.36 will show the correct CPU, but I think a 945 is just a 950 without virtualiztion.
