Pentium D 925 Processor question

Senior member
Just had a couple of these dropped off on my desk to be used as I see fit:

Pentium D 925 specks:

Anyone ever use these for Folding? I know that they can be OC'ed even more (up to 3.6+) and see that they have 4MB of L2 cache. Not the most energy efficient, but not the worst either.

Thoughts?

Getting ready to switch out my single core rigs for dual cores sometime after the first- trying to decide if I should go with the AMD AM2 4200+ Windsors or the 925's...

Cool...

Right now I have 4 single core machines that generate maybe 100 PPD each- so even if one of them gets switched out I'll more than double my points with all machines combined and use 1/4 of the electricity...

If you get a C2d@3.2, it will do 2000 ppd easy. I wouldn;t bother with a 925 or an X2.
