Pentium D 820: Heatsink suggestions.

I have been planning to replace the stock heatsink on this ah heck.

I have found the: Thermaltake Beetle 4 in 1 Performance Heatpipe Cooler
http://www.xoxide.com/aerocool-streamliner-140mm-fan-black.html

And many have shown me the: ZALMAN CNPS7700-CU 120mm 2 Ball Cooling Fan with Copper Heatsink
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835118115

The price isn't a issue but I just needs something that really cools it. I do a lot of video editing on this computer and when I render, the temp his up to 70-74. Only when I render does it do this.

I would like to keep it cool. Cool as can be.

that scythe mine looks almost like a tuniq tower but uses a 100m fan. Any benchmarks including the scythe mine?

Yea, here:

The Ninja and Mine run neck and neck when outfitted with the same fan (@100%) and both are very close to the Tuniq Tower which is impossible to get right now.

At 50% fan speed they both beat the Tuniq Tower.

The Mine's better then the Ninja when you take into account the mount and fan attachment. (the Ninja's fan mount is a joke - two bent paper clips!!)

Awesome. Thank you guys so much. Going to put in an order for the Scythe Mine once I get back in. I heard of the Scythe but I thought it was too big for my case but it seems as if it would fit the Lan Boy.

I also grabbed some 120mm fans but the ones I found with the better db and air flow were the: AeroCool Streamliner 140mm Fan (w/ 120mm adaptor)
http://www.xoxide.com/aerocool-streamliner-140mm-fan-black.html

I would like to refrain from buying any fans with lights since I am tucking it away. I don't mind a little so these fans look decent. I just want the biggest airflow with the most minimal. I just have to measure inside my case and make sure they fit. The back fan probably will but the one upfront, under the grill may not. Any suggestions?

Thanks again

Two "bent paper clips" is also what Thermalright uses, and it works for me.

uhhhh personally if your not into too high overclocking the freeezer 7 is a awesome buy. Its cheaper then all the listed heatsinks by almost half and yet the difference in cooling is about 1-2C when compared against the ninja.

I cant see where you would go wrong with a freezer7 pro. But if you must have that 1-2C and you have tons of money oosing out of your pocket, go with thermalright SI-128. Or even better, get off the air cooling wagon and jump onboard the watercooling express like i did. You'll never go back!
