Hello,
I am looking to buy a Pentium D 805 processor and I was wondering if I am able to use DDR1 or if I have to use DDR2. Also, I was looking to get this motherboard. I'm looking to get a 2.66 to 3.5 ghz overclock. Also, are there any other good overclockable motherboards under $150?
Thanks,
Shawn

The motherboard determines if you need DDR or DDR-2, there are some boards that support the 805 and use DDR. I wouldn't recomend a via chipset, let alone a board that is $55 if you plan to OC an 805. You won't get 3.5 on stock cooling either. Mine is on an 8N-SLI, running at 3.6ghz with a scythe ninja 55c load temps. How much is your budget? The 3800+ X2 would be a far far better choice if it's in your budget, they are around $150 now after the recent price cuts.

Well, I have a pretty slim budget, $300 maximum for CPU, mobo, and possible another 1gb of memory
