Pentium 940 Question

Is it a good CPU? I've been out of the Intel game for quite a while, being an AMD owner and all.

I currently have an Athlon X2 3800+ OC'd to 2.4ghz, and am wondering if going to a Pentium 940 is worth it. Cost aside, how do the two CPU's compare in gaming performance and overclock ability?

Ur X2 is a lot better than any Pentium D. If you're going intel, get a core 2.

That's netburst - netburst bad. I bet your current processor is way faster.

You want Core 2 Duo if you're getting Intel, but I don't see why you would, your machine is fine - you are graphics card limited in games.

Yeah, the X2 3800+ is certainly a lot better than a Pentium D 940, 90nm or not. I'd wait for a CPU upgrade if I were you.
