Pentium 75 as DSL server?

Hi,

I'm getting DSL and want to put it in a computer that I can leave running all the time. I have a Pentium 75 sitting around doing nothing and was thinking maybe I could put it in that. It would only have to serve 4 computers and the DSL only runs at 128kbps (yeah I know I live in New Zealand okay). This computer should be able to do what I want it to with no problems right?
I have other faster computers but none that I want to sacrifice so don't suggest it unless I really need it.
 
So you mean as a software router? Win2k is your best bet for that, and tho it can run on the computer it will be dog slow, and your routing preformance may suffer.

If you use the linux on a floppy disk router deals, then yes, a 486 or higher is perfect.

Yeah I was thinking of either using a Linux disk or just running Win98 with ICS. I'll have a play around with it when I get connected.
 
p75 should do win98ICS great. But it may crash every little while, not real sure. I dont like win98 in a round the clock uptime environment.
 
Linux is your best bet, if you don't know it to well just download a linux firewall on a floppy that will do it perfect.
