I agree pure speculation......

When clawhammer was first being discussed the p4 was not even a northwood yet let alone much over 2ghz....It will be 3.06ghz by years end so hammer's arse kicking lead likely will not be what most of you are hoping....


That being said I don't think anyone will dominate. It will be that old one notch better, back andforth, and we can all argue over 2-5 percent in benchmarks......;)


I think intel is ramping up faster to make sure at hammer arrival (which like all of amd's last products IMO will be late) that they will be near that level or not far below. The hammer by even intel's roadmap should be out quite a bit ahead of the prescott.

The prescott with 1mb l2 cache, dual ddr chipset, 666fsb, and Hyperthreading enabled on desktop cpus....That is pretty exciting in its own light....
