Pentium 5,6,7...ad nauseum...or something new?

I realize that Intel's had great brand recognition with the Pentium name....but they've gotta change sometime, don't they? I just don't see them selling a 'Pentium 13' or the like. Their marketers must be kicking around replacement names, it seems like even Joe Blow will eventually start thinking that Intel isn't doing anything new

I always looked at the "Pent-" in "Pentium" and though "five." After all, it came after the 486, right? So if penta- is five, and hexa- is six, they could call it the Hexium.

Of course, if you have six kids at once, that's sextuplets, so they could opt for calling it the Sexium...

I figure that the "Pentium" name is good for up to "Pentium 5" or "Pentium 6", but then they need to change to something else.

I think they should get rid of it after the Pentium 4... Pentium 5 just sounds... weird

Pentium 5.....lol! That's what they will use in the servers at the Department of Redundancy Dept.

I think that they should have gotten rid of the Pentium moniker after the pentium 3. That's when the P6 core faded out and then name should have also.
