Anyone planning to get a Pentium 4 soon? I looked at the review, and I'm thinking about waiting for the socket-478.

For now, a 1.X GHz TBird is a MUCH better choice.

It will outperform the P4 in damned near anything, & costs 1/3 what a P4 does. Plus DDR motherboards will be available next month, most likely. P4 will blossom once it tops 2 GHz, until then it's still in beta as far as I'm concerned.

Like the others said. The only reason for Intel to release it now is because they want to stay on top in the mhz race. Therer are more fools than sane people out there, so it's going to sell even though it is suck.
