Its a Expensive slow piece of sh@t!!! Intel is Trying to convince people that its Faster then the P3 and Tbird, Truth is it isnt! When will Intel ever learn that their evil ideas are nothing more the Frauds! AMD Owns Intel now and sooner or later Intel Will Fall apart! To hell with intel! Let AMD become the new company that dont jack prices up on us!
 
I wouldn't say it sucks. Every site says that it's slow because the boards and bus cannot take full advantage of it yet.

I don't think you know how the market works. If Intel were to drop off the face of the planet, AMD would raise their prices about 150% and would release new proccesors every 3 years. Competition is good, look what Microsoft has done with no real cometition. The way I see it, if AMD didn't get back into the game with the K6-2 and later the Athlon, right now the fastest CPU you could buy would be a Pentium 3 550 and it would cost about $500.
 
at the moment, yes it SUCKS. it's too damn slow when it competes clock-for-clock with p3 and tbird. and the recalling for overheating p4 doesn't help brightening up intel's day, especially after a lousy year they already had. the problem right now is that, although the 20stage pipeline is useful for future more complex code decoding, the pipeline is too long for present programs, and even get penalized more when it mispredicts instructions. but as softwares begins to get more complex in the upcoming year or so, p4 will prove to be a very capable contender, especially with it's massive memory bandwidth. this will, of course provide major competition against amd. but fear not, for amd already have plans for lines of cpu. this competition we're seeing right now is just the tip of the ice berg.\

He's right though, just like if nVidia or ATI was to fall off the face of the planet, that is what would suck. You people need to open your eyes and get off this Ford vs Chevy crap!
