The short version is P4VMM3. That one motherboard where no one can find any information for. And naturally, it's the one I'm stuck with.

Does anyone know where I can get a manual for this motherboard? It would be very useful so that I can see the motherboard components diagram, along with the whole pin arrangement diagrams.

Linked is a picture of the exact motherboard. It's extremely small because as many of you probably noticed, we're going back 10 years here.

Thanks in advance, everyone :)

Unless you need this working for some sort of specific industrial purpose, then I would just junk it, at your nearest electronics recycler (or find one online).

It's not worth running a Socket 423 rig these days.

I totally would, but I promised to fix/upgrade my friend's computer 5 years ago, for Christmas. I just thought it'd be funny to finally get it back to him tomorrow

You promised to fix your friend's PC, five years ago? And you're just getting it back to them? Remind me not to take my PC to you when it needs work... :p

Edit: It's a Via chipset motherboard, so you would need Via drivers, www.via.com.tw or www.via.com probably. (Maybe www.viaarena.com)

As for pinouts, USB is mostly standard, and IDE and memory, so all you would need to figure out is the front-panel pinout, and all you really need is the power-on switch. Which you can find out with a screwdriver, if it's not marked on the board.

It definitely sounds like it. But it's not exactly how it planned out.

But essentially, end game, yup. Still not done.

Anyway, manuals anyone? ;)

If I ever build my own computer, i'll definitely think of getting something on the new spectrum of things.

But for now, i'm pretty happy with getting the power button to work. The keyboard, mouse, and monitor not receiving signals is still something i'm working on. But, progress!

Thanks for the help VirtualLarry :)

Thanks for the links. I went digging on the second one and I found this: The manual with diagrams best resembling the motherboard I have.

http://download.ecs.com.tw/dlfileecs/manual/mb/eng/p4/p4vmm211aeng.zip
(It is a straight download link, so unless you want to download a manual for a 10yr old motherboard, don't click it)

Heh, oh man... I've only to find a bootable harddrive / make a bootable disk
