I have a P4M 2.2 ghz thats only running at 1.2 ghz. Its in a MSI 845PE motherboard with 512 mbs of ddr333 ram. I see you guys with crazy overclocks with p4 mobiles. All i really want to do is get it running at its normal speed. In windows properties it even sees the CPU as a 2.2 p4m but running at 1.2 ghz. Im confused thanks in advance.

Pentium 4 M has speedstep, so thats why its at 1.2ghz. I geuss ur mobo is running it at the low speedstep frequency. Can't you use the bios to overclock the thing? Or try this program called SpeedSwitchXP which was designed to better utilize control over speedstep, but this program is designed for laptops in mind.

The cpu's are run at 12x multiplier when used in a desktop board. To get around this increase the FSB, you should reach 200fsb easily on your mobo although your ram multiplier will need to be -33 or 5/6
