I'm going to be putting the newer Socket 775 Pentium 4 3.4 GHz in my video editng / gaming rig upcoming here in a few weeks. It will NOT be overclocked, but are there any heat problem I should be aware of with this processor? I'm going to be putting the system into a black Lian-Li aluminum case with an Antec TruePower 430 Watt PS.

You should be ok as long as you have good airflow through your case. I have a 3GHZ overclocked to 3.6 and a non overclocked 3.4. Yes, they do put out a lot of heat, but not a problem if you get it out of the case. I am using the stock HSF on both. Both are running at around 60C - 65C under load.

Cool (no pun intended). Sounds like I should be okay. I am also going to be having three big hard drives in there (all 7200 RPM), two optical drives, and the Asus ATI X800XT vid. card...

I have 7 hard drives and 2 optical drives in mine. Video doesn't put out as much heat as the 800XT, but the additional hard drives probably make up for it. The system in a Thermaltake Tsunami Dream tower and it keeps everything cool enough. Check out the Main Rig link in my signature.
