Pentium 4 Health

I have my Pentium 4 2.0A GHz overclocked and my voltage is set to 1.75V, I was just wondering how long my computer would last at this voltage, because I do plan on selling my computer after about two years.

Thanks

make sure you look at actual voltage as reported by motherboard manufacturer's monitoring software or MBM....With an asus mobo you can set 1.75v in the bios but actually be delivering 1.83v and that can very well damage it....

I don't go over 1.7v and it has proven to me to be safe as my 1.6a has ran that voltage for nearly 9 months, and has many more left...

if its asus, generally less than 1.65ish vcore in bios would be safe (as in reality it would be around 1.68-1.72 lol)

other than that, as stated above, look with mbm5 or wahtever program (if you get one with mobo, use that) to see what it is at

1.75v+ wont last more than a few months ive seen/heard

id stay under 1.65ish probably

So just to be sure, pardon my technical stupidness, if I left it at 1.65V it would last maybe 7-8 years or longer hopefully?

hard to say if it would last that long.

Bottom line if you want it to last, dont overclock.
