I am wondering about the real world and benchmark performance of the new Haswell Pentium 3560Y.

I am wondering how does this Pentium compare to i3-4020Y on the "high" end and Z3770 on the low end.

Are there any sources out there where i could look at some hard numbers, or should I extrapolate for now?

CPU side it's going to be 20-30% slower than the i3 depending on how multithreaded the workload is. Its GPU is half of the i3 but might boost a bit higher so perhaps ~35-40% slower.

So it's pretty linear. Thanks!
I'm trying to decide between SP2 and Vaio Tap 11.

This seems to indicate that the Surface Pro 2 is significantly faster than Vaio Tap 11. But the SP2 has a i5-4200U not an i3.

For Bay Trail: Z3770 vs VT11

And for the fun: iPad vs VT11 :p

I don't want to be off topic here, but I will say that I gave up on Tap 11 due to poor battery life.
Now, I'm waiting for dell and the Venue Pro 11. Seems like the price might be deciding factor: 639 vs 979 euro.
Y processor is not an issue as this would be a secondary device for light use cases.

Again, thanks to everyone for the input!

I learned that actually Baytrail trades blows with the lowest end core (so, avoid pentium).

I will continue my discussion and any other questions I might have in the mobile devices forum.

The IGP is a LOT better, we are talking about 4 vs 10EU (Pentium Y) vs 20EU(Core I Y), higher clocks, higher mem bandwidth and gen 7 vs gen7.5...

On cpu, its likely slower on multicore. (BT quad vs PentiumY)

BUT we need to be carefull with the turbos here, the igp will have no room for turbo if cpu usage is high in a game, setting game to a single core may yield higher perf.

So basically for mobility and battery life (if same capacity battery) BT.
For better GPU for some still very casual gaming, Pentium.

yeah, ill say thats accurate, its likely that the Pentium Y will be able to run the games that BT cant.
