Pentium 3 System Power Supply

that was back in the day that dell used proprietary power supplies, and

PROPRIETARY, ODD PINOUTS ON THE ATX CONNECTOR

i have a dimension 4100 with a p3 1GHz, and i know what you are talking about.

you will need to order a power supply from dell, but however i feel that you just destroyed your computer with that power supply you tried on it.

if i was you i would scrap the whole machine.

Some Dells use a rewired power connector, you may have fried your motherboard 🙁

i hope you really didnt power it on. powering it on would be like putting the ATX connector on backwards (impossible due to the plastic housings), putting a molex connector (4pin) on backwards onto a hard drive, or plugging the floppy power in backwards too.

if you have ever been in any of those situations, heard, read, or smelled them...you would know what happened.

i strongly suggest for you to not even waste your money if you smell anything fried.

i have the system in question, and it uses a 20pin ATX connector, along with a 6 pin AT-style connector also.

its proprietary.
