Pentium 3 733 MHz Normal Temperature?????

What is the normal temp for a pentium 3 733 MHZ???

when i boot the temp is 50 C and while playing a game the temp is 80 C!!!!!!

is that normal for a pentium, could it be a problem when booting???

Because my cousin has a AMD and his temp is around the 40 C !!!! :|

what are you using for your temp reading?.. sounds like your temp reader is not accurate or your CPU and HSF is not perfectly mounted. one of the easy way to get an "Okay " temp reading is to use the Sisoft Sandra 2001 and get the CPU temp.
The stock P3 733 should run at 29- 31C idle and 35- 39C load.

Yeh man, those temperatures looked pretty whacked..

noooo, never use sandra to read temps, it uses compensation, and ive only seen it accurate less then a handful of times, just go pick up Motherboard Moniter.

Ive looked in the BIOS and i have a program called ASUS probe which was with my MoBo
