Pentax Optio S4 vs Canon S400 vs Minolta G500

Which would you get?
I understand that all three cameras are relatively compact, but I know that the smaller/lighter it is, the more likely I am to bring it with me on a whim instead of waiting for the bigger events. I'm just trying to get some sense of how the S4's image quality is deficient relative to the S400, and if the G500's 5MP sensor is worth the sacrifice in size. Most of the pictures I anticipate taking will be snapshot style, but I am certain that I'll want to take some shots in low-light conditions as well.

S4: .8x3.3x2, $336 shipped, 4MP. Image quality is iffy, but being that it's smaller than an altoids tin, I know I would get a lot of use out of it b/c of its size.

S400: 1.09x3.43x2.24, $381 shipped, 4MP. Reviews say this is a solid camera, but it's not as small as the S4. Is its image quality that much better than the S4 that I should opt for it?

G500: 1.16x3.7x2.2, $320 shipped, 5MP. Reviews say this is also a solid camera, but it's the largest and cheapest of the three. Do you think the 5MP sensor is worth the increase in size/weight?

best one.
SD10 doesn't have any optical zoom. :|

I would've gotten it if it weren't for that.
The S4 and S400 are hard to compare. I was looking at them the other day and I found that the S4 took good enough pictures for me and the size and (especially) weight made it preferable. I have no experience with the G500.

I have an S4, and I can tell you that the image quality is pretty good. BUT not as good as the S400. I chose to get the S4 because of its size and the pictures are fine for what I'm using it for. If I didn't care about size I'd go with the S400
