I need to do a one way moving. I'm moving about 100 miles and I need 14-17 foot van to do it. I'm doing it on wednesday (end of month so a lot of people are doing it).

Uhaul quoted me at $99 which I thought was a lot so I checked penske. With my AAA discount and web discount they want $325 for it. GOOD GOD. I'm moving 100 miles. I'll carry my stuff for less than $325!

i read somewhere (probably here since AT is my only source of news...) the good days to rent a truck for the lowest prices. *looking for a link*...don't be surprised if i don't find one.

Did you check the prices for a local move - return the truck to the same location as where you picked it up? Granted, this is going to be 200 miles (100 miles each way), but local moves are usually less than one-way moves which is probably why they're soaking for the extra bucks.

watch out for uhaul too... the final price may have extra charges such as insurance, tax, and other crap,.....

a regular $29.99 advertised small truck turned out to be $59 something after I was done with it.
