so it's a safety issue since the caps don't have a hole in them for air in the case a child swallows them. Sounds reasonable. Not like they will deny them...it's just a warning.

I agree I was expecting a big juicy article about a school in NY or something banning all pens...someone take away his poetic license lol :(

Why the hell are you people complaining? Have you ever used a fountain pen? It is NOT FUN. They made us use those damn things in Trinidad schools, just for the sake of trying to be freaking British.

You're calling British schoolkids wimps, yet I'm pretty sure none of you have ever used a fountain pen, because the American school system realized a long time ago that little Joshua and Noah would shoot ink everywhere, and then when you scold them, their soccer moms would protest.
