Penryn cpus are due soon right? Consumer priced?

Not sure if it makes sense to wait for that instead of getting a q6600. though I kind of remember reading that the first cpus that are released will all be very expensive

Yep, the first one introduced will be the extreme QX part with an unlocked multi and $1000 price tag. The "consumer" parts won't be released until probably Feb.
