So far, I've heard no mention of half cache penryns. Will this category be filled by conroe, or will there be a cut down version I haven't heard of?
 
i think this same chip is in the lowest quad core that has 2 x 3mb cache.

penryn allendale is the new e5000 series, with 3mb cache and 1066 bus
 
Hmm, a 2.4Ghz variant would be quite nice then IMO as it would have a 9x multi, so could get up to 3Ghz without stressing the board at all.
