Is it just me, or are the Penny Arcade forums home to the most closeminded, immature people ever to disgrace the Internet? Jesus. I just spent 4 days posting there before throwing up my hands in disgust and beating a retreat over to Anandtech to delurk.

I've been on the Internet for far too long to not realize that for every half-way decent person, there's at least 10 people who turn out to be complete hosers, but Penny Arcade certainly seems to have way more than it's share. I never thought I'd agree, but moderation IS a good thing.

I feel like I just got my Internet cherry popped all over again. :Q

Sorry I started my first post (and thread) on such a sour note. Just had to vent....

I keep on coming back for anandtech for reasons like this. It's not as strict as it used to be (except for no-babe threads) but there is still enough control that it makes it fun to post.

Heh, at least Anandtech has mods who actually give a flying felch about keeping stuff under control. With Penny Arcade, you're more likely to get insulted by a mod than banned or locked.

Virtually all forums with a lot of users and little moderation end up like that, unfortunately.
