The State of Pennsylvania is offering a Sales Tax holiday from August 6-13, 2000 on Personal Computers. Any individual may buy a personal computer, tax-free provided the computer is for non-business use and all hardware and software are purchased in the same transaction. this is so neat. like rangerx says, we need one in california! even though CA is one of the most technological advanced states in the country, I bet over 50% of the people dont have computers.

That's the first time I've ever seen my home town (York) even mentioned on the 'net since I left! Damn! Makes me wish I was back there. This 10% GST on top of already high prices is a real drag!

York, PA huh! Just took a deposition there recently. Have a hearing in a few months. Also have several friends from law school working in the York Co. DA's office.

Wow. PA giving a break on taxes. Dont expect to see anything like this again anytime soon!
