Our firm is looking for a solution to replace old POTS dialup lines. Our applications are now too demanding, and it's getting hard to find an analog line to plug into. In the city most clients have a LAN with Internet access, so for these road warriors they could use the VPN. However, the clients are starting to get smart - they don't want us plugging into their networks in fear of breaching their security (or lack of), which I don't blame them.

So we are looking at some kind of Air Card solution. Anybody else here ever implement something like this?

The reason I'm asking specifically from PA techs is because a lot times these solutions are very specific to a region. What works in CA most likely won't help us here.

Contact Craig at PCMan.net, my ex nephew in-law. He would know everything you need to know about the Pittsburgh area as far as what Technology is available there.
