Penn State Students

From this picture I took while out there for the Purdue-Penn State game I am guessing the the section (left hand side) with the most occupants is the student section.

My question is, do students have assigned seating or is it first come first serve?

heh, you should know its "assigned" seating here at purdue.

but that only matters if you think it does.

Speaking of Purdue, are they scanning student's ids when they enter the stadium?

That's a pretty nice stadium, but it doesn't compare to The Big House. 🙂

That's neat though that they're thinking of scanning IDs at Purdue...Michigan needs a solution like that, there are always like 25 ejections for fraudulent use of an M-Card.

How many does that place generally hold?

There were nearly 110,000 in attendance for the Penn State - Purdue game.
According to here it's 107,501, though there are ALWAYS more than that packed in there for big games (OSU, MSU, etc.).

Do they just look at them or are them actually scanned like a credit card?

Guess they haven't implemented the project we were working on before I left the university.

How the heck can a Penn State-Purdue game be so EMPTY???
And where are the players?

EDIT: n/m, I think that's waaaay before the start of the game. Damn, I'm an idiot.

Yeah it was taken about 50 minutes prior to kickoff.

yes, left hand side from 50 yard line wrapping all the way around to the goal post is student section. seniors get 50 yard line seats, and freshmen get around "corner" behind goal post. i went to over 30 games there over 4.5 years...lots of good memories

Damn, I think Camp Randall (Wisconsin) holds ~85,000 if I recall correctly.

Why do you chant "We are Penn State"? Do you not know who you are? Cuz I don't think anyone else cares....is it supposed to strike fear in your enemies? Because it doesn't. It just sounds goofy.
