that's an absolute view. let me offer a relative view with context - the financial and material damages to the owner are like a regular car defaced with post-it notes. there's a certain violation of private property occurring, but tangible damages are barely an inconvenience.

imo, a much stronger argument for being outraged would be the defacing of a work of art.
