Hey guys,

I am just wondering if anyone else has run into this problem. I had purchased a T-bird 800, and used a pencil to unlock the bridges. It worked great for a few days, then at times when I would boot my computer, I would get a cpu read of 600mHz. If i set the multiplier at 9 I get 500mHz. What's the deal? Im using MSI K7T Pro2 A motherboard. I also have tried to reproduce the connections, but evertime I run into the same problems. any suggestions?

thanks

I don't understand why some people keep having problem with their pencil trick. I have 2 Durons 700@1000 and 650@850. My 700@1000 has been running for about 3 months without a problem, and my 650@850 has run about 1 month. I used 2B pencil.

Erase the pencil marks and close the bridges again! I ran into the same troubles with my TB 800. Just recovering didn´t work. Then I cleaned the chip with a rubber and alcohol and closed the bridges again -----> everything is ok now, the baby runs @1000 again!

he is right. Using alcohol with cotton bud to clean the bridges.
When I did it, sometimes the pencil mark was not good enough from the look, so I also used alcohol to clean it.
