O.K., what I am thinking is arranging 2-4 peltiers sandwiched between two massive HS/F's, like in a beverage cooler, to cool the ambient temperature.
thoughts, anyone?

It will consume way to much power. And where is the air from the HSF's going to go? It will go back in the case and heat it up. The only real way to use tecs is to use them underneath a water block. And its not really worth the money, why invest in tecs, when you can get phase for a bit more money.

wont work, because you have no way to cool the tecs effectively.

Unless your thinking about an AC TEC type of eq. But that requires a hugh heat sink + fan to cool the hot side.

TEC's dont magically bring your temp down. It maintains a relative Delta from hotside to cold side.

If your hotside is 100C and a TEC can only bring down temps ~ 43C delta was it?

Your cold side is 57C

YIKES...

Huh?

A peltier is really not the most efficient of coolers for computers. You'd be better off investing in some water cooling or a phase change system.

I wouldn't say it's a futile idea. The Sytrin unit did work, but they discontinued it because of complaints of condensation. :D

People here have brought up some good points though...

Where are you goint to exhaust the hot side?

I suppose you could cut a hole in your case somewhere and stick the hot-side heatsink out of it, but in time the hot side is going to saturate that sink without active cooling.

Vigor Gaming and Ultra have the same TEC HSF.
I don't have a link but it's the Monsoon II. AT did a review of it.

I'm saying it's not a very good idea.

That's different. That's not going to cool your case's ambient temperatures. Quite the opposite actually. ;)

hey op listen to this person.

He's a legend when it comes to reviews.

and the vigor is honestly a POS. No offense. I have mentioned i have no concept or idea on how anadtech got a higher overclocking using such a POS HSF.

The ultra 120 kills it, and it uses a less electricity doing so. Also a lot quieter.

Maybe yours was broken? I've always seen much lower temps with the MACS built CPU coolers than any air cooling and therefore able to achieve good overclocks. Under constant heavy loads while overclocked though, a really good water cooler is the way to go and if you chill that water with a pelt.... even better.

I apologize, I dindn't specify the proposed setup, which is as follows:

2x120mm Fans(60~120cfm, used industrial fans-Papst 4114N). They will be blowing forward. There will also be a cowl over this to prevent hot air from being sucked into the case.
^
Massive heatsink(400mmx200mmx47mm-XxYxZ).
^
case front/Peltiers(DT6-6), I don't know enough about how peltiers work to know if this is a decent one.
^
another massive heatsink, same size.
^
another 2x120mm fan array(same model fans), blowing towards the exhaust fan. This one will be fed by an intake fan.

Does this clarify it enough?

BTW, the cost for parts I don't already have is only ~$50

haha. i guess i should learn to read English better.
(i truthfully did not read "ambient")

and I use the Ultra 120 anyways.
